Bedbug Trap is Here
There is going to be an arms race when it comes to bed bug traps with the introduction of the CDC 3000 bedbug trap and the NightWatch bedbug trap. Both use the same concept of human type pheromone, heat, and CO2 to attract the bed bug. The traps will be steep to begin with at a price of five hundred dollars a pop or more, but the benefits will out way the cost. The trap can confirm the presence of bed bugs and it can confirm the success of a bedbug treatment. Both of these reasons can justify the cost in my opinion. They will also be able to act as a tool in the fight against bedbugs. The CDC 3000 website has a video on it showing how the trap works that can make you a believer. Finally...a tool that is useful in this battle.

I would much prefer killing them, than trapping them.lol..I know this is NOT a funny senario, but the average person in this economy does not want to spend 500 bucks on traps. How about Sporiclean for Bed Bugs. For $32.00 you can have 8 gallons of product to spray and kills them via an enzyme product minus those toxic chemicals. This product will also help clean your premises, and assist your laundry endeavors with the bed bugs!
Good luck...
I saw the 2 new bed bug monitoring devices at Pestworld 2008. These booths got a lot of attention. No don't, monitors will change bed bug control forever!
Marcy, your not understanding. There are many products on the market for bed bug control and one should use several products. Don't rely on just one to do the job. But monitors are used to detect bed bugs so that an early infestation will be noticed before it becomes uncontrollable or after a bed bug treatment, so that customer and PCO can rest assured that the bed bugs have not returned and if so, to treat promptly.
I was not recommending just one product. But, this is the safest way to eliminate insects.
It is about time someone developed a solution to deal with bed bugs. Many people will be able to sleep in peace without having to worry about bed bugs.
